Hey ADIML, I'm Vicky, a 19 year old university student in Surrey, studying Nursing. Been reading here for ages, but this is my first post. 4th of May was the last day of my twin sister's easter holidays, so Mum took her back to Canterbury to help her put all her stuff back. I went to visit them!
66 photos, including the teaser pic.

My alarm went off at 7:30 but by the time I got out of bed and sorted out my camera, it was this time -

Got dressed and went to the toilet, same as every morning!

And I looked like this -

So time for teeth brushing

Putting my eyes in

Moisturising

Make up

Putting on Jewelry, brushing my hair, and finally - result!

I packed my bags ( yes, two - I'm not exactly great at travelling light!)

And killed some time by bumming round on the internet

Until it was nearly time to go

So I said goodbye to Matt and went. He was not impressed at me taking a picture, especially when the flash blinded him. Ooops!

No pictures of the walk to the coach, because I am the sort of moron who forgets her coach tickets and has to run back for them. Such a genius. So I was kind of panicky and rushing, but luckily made it on time to coach no.1

8:50 - off we go!

Put on some music for the journey - The Sounds - my happy summer music!

40 minutes later, arrive at Victoria coach station, where coach no.2 is waiting for me

Have to wait an hour before I can get on though, so I do some exam revision I brought with me (because I am a geek)

A one-footed pigeon came to visit me. It took a few attempts at taking this - he was surprisingly speedy (for a cripple)

Time to go!

I ate some breakfast I bought at the station. It looks horrible, but was really yummy. Cinnamon and walnut flavor, nom nom nom!

Fell asleep for most of the journey becuase it was nice and warm and sunny, but woke up in time to get off in Canterbury

Jen was there to meet me! :)

We squeeled and hugged for a bit, then she took me to her flat where me and Mum squeeled and hugged for a bit. Then I voluntered to help carry Jen's boxes from the car up to the flat - MISTAKE!

This photo does not do the stairs justice - there were 4 flights! I nearly died.
Eventually we got everything up to Jen's room

Mum went to chill in her hotel room, me and Jen unpacked all her stuff. Well, Jen did most of it, My contribution was this shelf

I did it very neatly though.
Meet Chaucer the duck, who guards Jen's beer!

I decided Lickilicky should go and keep him company. Yes, I brought a cuddly pokemon that Matt bought me with me to Canterbury. I said I was a geek!

Whilst I was messing round, Jen had finished the unpacking so we had some lunch.

Then Jen went to have a shower, so I wasted time on the internet

And finished my portfolios ( I didn't have a hole punch so had to borrow Jen's)

And started putting pictures up on her pinboard for her

Clean!!

At 3:30, we decided to walk down into town as it was nice and sunny

First we stopped by the little lake by Jen's flat to feed the cute little ducklings

Then we walked through a really pretty foresty place, and then up onto the hill looking down on the town

We stopped to take a nice photo to send to my Grandma!!

Walked a bit more, and got to town

Jen took me to see this wonky house, which I thought was cool. It reminded me of the Weasley's house in Harry Potter.

Then we got milkshakes, mainly because the shop had this sign on, which made us giggle -

Wandered round town for a bit, went to walk round the cathedral, which has a really scary Jesus on the entrance

You can't really tell from the picture, but he has really scary eyes that stare down at you and JUDGE YOU
There was loads of tourists taking photos in front of the cathedral, so we thought we ought to join in

We had a table booked at a restaurant at 6:15, but Jen had to go and meet Mum at the carpark and show her where to go, so I went and sat on my own, drank Peroni, and tried not to look like I had been stood up by a guy haha. They arrived at about half past.

I had the biggest pizza in the world, it was amazing. No pictures from dinner, my Mum doesn't like having her picture taken so the camera stayed in my bag. After dinner Jen suggested we go to the bar in her building, but it was really quiet and I had to get up early again the next morning, so we stayed in town and she took me to her favorite coffee place. It's called Coffee and Corks, and it's amazing!

Coffee with Amaretto, yum yum yum!

It's really small and friendly, and random people came to chat with us. It's a good job I don't go to that university or I would never get any work done, I would spend all my time in this place. They have scrapbooks lying around for people to write in. I wrote about doing ADIML

And I wrote a message to my big sister Beth, who is in Germany at the moment

Then we thought we should play scrabble, as we haven't played it since we were little. We were just as bad at it as we were when we were little! Jen won.

Jen's friend Zoe came to meet us, we sat and chatted for ages and drank more coffee

About half ten we decided to walk home again, it was still nice and warm. Went and sat in Jen's flat for ages and talked to a few of her friends. No pictures, because I didn't want them all to think I was a complete wierdo.
We got back to Jen's room at this time -

Pee time! (Just to clarify, I went to the toilet more than twice today, just didn't take a picture every time. Just incase you thought I had some sort of bladder problem haha)

Jen went on the internet for a bit

Elite bed-making skillz

Make up off, jewelry off, huge T-shirt/nightie on!

Night night from me, jen, lickilicky and Gary the dinosaur!!

I hope you enjoyed my day! New friends always welcome :)
