Thank you all, both positive and non, for commenting this afternoon. It has given me so much to think about.
I saw so many comments for Amnesty day and several against. THen, a certain speedy member had a brilliant idea.

We can, as mods, post text (Duh, I know)posts.
So....
Why not post a text post a few days before the event and on the mentioned day, post so that anyone who wants to do a " single pic post" can reply as a comment with the post...?

Here is the thing...We can do it a couple of different ways (and please other mods, weigh in). We can do a random event (such as unlimited pic post...full weekend post...single pic post... before and after, events, etc) post and anyone who wants can reply to that post within 24 hours. It will all be screened and whatever post gets the big OK from the mods, can post the thing for everyone (with the disclaimer that they were the winner).
That way, even the prissy people can't complain. And seriously...let's make this something special. Get stuff ready as posters and when the mod post comes (and I think we will work on a day to unveil the special contest), you will be ready with lots of pics to work with.

We restricted this community for obvious reasons if you read the last post...and while we want to keep the community really sharp, we also want to make time for other, more interesting and fun, projects too. You should see the stuff another mod is thinking about. YAY!
Once again...weigh in with how you feel about this. Just remember...NO PICS will be posted outside a cut unless the mods OK it...So no worries on your f-list.
It will be all about the fun.

We all love this community (I hope) and want it to be more fun while not becoming a cesspool or war-zone. SO let us know here.
*Once again...this is not a post so you can complain about rules you don't like or request rules or anything...You do that enough in private messages. This is all about the idea for a more diverse community.

Quick question to members. How would you like an amnesty day each month (to be determined if it happens) where, for 24 hours, we can post "Single Pic that encapsulates the entire day" pics?

I've been asked about it so much lately and I was thinking one day a month won't stress out the mods too much (I think).

Please post if you have an opinion about the amnesty day thing (And no, this is not a place to complain if you don't like a rule or ask for new rules. You can message us about that).

P.s. One last thing. We have an opening for another mod (preferably in the UK, Europe, Asia or an American 3rd shifter) who can help with the night posts here in the US. Seems a lot of the spammers like to post then and sometimes we don't catch them for a bit. Please let me know in a message if you would like the position and can keep people following the rules without just deleting the posts without commenting to let them fix it.

Hallo! Lisa again. I'm getting kind of addicted to this comm. Still 18, still from Pennsylvania. However, my July 2nd took place in West Virginia and Virginia (two states for the price of one!), as my mom, sister, and I were visiting our grandmother who lives in West Virginia for a few days. She decided to take us to this little day spa half an hour away for pampering and relaxation and all those things.

This definitely turned out to be the strangest day I've documented so far. XD

Hi! I'm Meredith and this is my July 2nd. I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan and I'm a graduate student. I also work at a hospital in town as a medical transcriptionist and a biostatistics intern. I live downtown with my camera-shy boyfriend Ryan and our 3 cats: Steve Jobs, NewCat, and Wonky.

I took the day off of work and it's filled with a lot of lounging, shopping, and a surprising twist that makes interesting, eventful pictures nearly impossible!

Here's my post from July 2nd, 2008. I'm not going to lie- it was not a very interesting day. The most exciting part was probably losing my cell phone and finding it. However, it's a pretty good representation of what I do during the summer when I'm not working as a camp counselor.
I'm a 19 (almost 20) year-old female from Indianapolis, Indiana. I live with my parents in the summer and go to DePauw University during the school year. I'm a psychology major. I work at an On the Border as a server during my breaks. My previous post was here- May 1, 2008.
I would do a teaser, but I'm afraid I'll mess it up and it won't be small enough.

Oh hay thar adiml! I'm Sarah, 25, from Hertfordshire in England but that's not important because I wasn't there on Saturday 28th June, I was at Glastonbury Festival! Woo! And it was AWESOME.

I've been meaning to do another adiml for the last year or so but just haven't got around to it, or I've got halfway through and my camera's run out of battery - which happened at Glasto last year, actually, which kind of sucked because it's also my phone - but I'm here now! With spare batteries! My last post is here, if you fancy comparing. I'm mostly lurky here, these days.
